About The Dancing Doctor
Sammi Harmon, PT, DPT, OCS
Sammi is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. She has been a physical therapist for Frozen the Musical North American Tour and Colorado Ballet, and has treated performers for Ballet West, The Limón Dance Company, and Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company. She has treated students and instructors in the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, aerial artists, and contortionists. As a professional dancer herself and a ballet/pointe instructor, she understands the unique demands of performing artists and will tailor treatment to your needs.

Every injury (whether a new, acute injury or a chronic condition) will be fully evaluated in order to determine the route cause of your symptoms and to develop a plan of care unique to your body and lifestyle. We will also take a medical history and ask your personal goals to allow you to return to doing the things most important to you.

Dry needling uses a filiform needle to treat trigger points in muscle tissue to reduce pain and tension, and improve soft tissue extensibility and flexibility. Dry needling can be done with or without the use of electrical stimulation and is included in your session if it is determined to be an appropriate modality for your recovery.
